Homestead Lake is easily accessible by Road, Rail and Sea.

Travelling to Homestead Lake by Road
From London and the M25:
Take the A12.
Pass the exits to Colchester West and Colchester Central, then join the A120 signposted towards Harwich.
Take the first exit from the A120, signposted Clacton A133.
Follow the A133 then take the B1033 signposted Weeley.
From the Midlands and North:
Follow the A14 (signposted Felixstowe/Harwich) until you are south of Ipswich.
Join the A12 signposted London.
After approx. 10 miles, leave the A12 at the exit for Colchester and Harwich (A120).
Join the A120 towards Harwich.
Take the first exit from the A120, signposted Clacton A133.
Follow the A133 then take the B1033 signposted Weeley.

Public Transport in Weeley
Bus
The no. 76 bus runs between Clacton and Colchester via Weeley. Timetables can be found on the First Group website. The bus stops are located near the Black Boy pub and can be seen on the map above.
The no. 2 (Hedingham Omnibuses) runs between Mistley and Clacton via Manningtree Train Station, Tendring and Weeley. The service runs 2 hourly and timetables can be found at traveline.
Train
Weeley is on the Clacton-on-sea and Walton-on-the-Naze to/from London Liverpool Street line. Connecting trains can be caught from Colchester.
Manningtree Station offers routes, for example, to Ipswich, Harwich and Felixstowe.
